The Guides to Good Practice – A valuable resource for Heritage Science

News

Effective data management can transform heritage science research, enabling deeper insights and broader collaboration. Recognising this potential, we have recently  undertaken a comprehensive update to the ADS Guides to Good Practice.

A valuable resource for heritage science and conservation research, these guides provide comprehensive information for creating, managing, and preserving digital heritage data across the project lifecycle.

The HSDS, alongside colleagues from the Archaeology Data Service (ADS), have updated these digital resources to make them accessible and reusable. Made possible with financial support from RICHeS and the AHRC, the redevelopment of these guides will aid the heritage science community in preserving and managing their data.

Heritage Science Researchers and professionals can learn more about the updated guides on the HSDS G2GP webpages.

Forthcoming Heritage Science Guides

Over the next three years, the HSDS will develop, in conjunction with heritage science specialists, a series of new Guides to cover all aspects of Heritage Science and Conservation Research. If you are interested in contributing, please contact the HSDS helpdesk at [email protected].
