Have your say: HSDS Year 2 User Needs Survey now open

The National Heritage Science Forum (NHSF) has launched the Year 2 HSDS User Needs Survey, and we want to hear from you. Whether you work with heritage science data as a researcher, practitioner, conservator, curator, or in any other role, your input will help shape the future of the Heritage Science Data Service.

The survey takes 15–20 minutes and is open until 15 June 2026.

The survey is part of a three-year user needs research programme run by NHSF on behalf of HSDS. Building on Year 1 baseline data gathered in 2025, this year’s survey tracks how awareness and priorities are shifting, and gathers feedback on newly launched services — including the HSDS Catalogue of Services and Data Catalogue.
